Atomic Model Files

Atomic Model files have the default extension "*.atm".

Each atomic model file is associated with an ATBASE data file, which contains all the detailed collisional and radiative data required for a PROPACEOS calculation.

Atomic model and ATBASE files each correspond to a single atomic element (e.g., aluminum).

Contents of an atomic model file include:

• The location (filepath) to the associated atomic data (ATBASE) file.
• A list of levels in the ATBASE file, and a flag indicating whether or not to select each level for use in the PROPACEOS application.
• A list of superconfigurations into which ATBASE atomic levels are collapsed.
• Collapse model parameters for each ion and base superconfiguration of the element.
