Overriding Hydro Data

This feature is a beta version and not available to all users.

The temperature, density and vapor fraction data in a hydro file can be overridden for one or more materials by selecting the materials on the Materials widget and clicking on the Override Data... button. Ion feature for x-ray scattering model can also be overridden.

The Override Parameters dialog box will be shown:

For each quantity, the override can be space or velocity dependent.
The geometry type for the override function need not correspond to the geometry type of the plasma.
The space or velocity dependent variables that will be recognized in the override expression are listed in the dialog box.

In order to use custom structure factors for x-ray Thomson scattering models, path to a file with tabulated data must be provided. The file must contain density and k-vector dependent structure factors. These data will be used to replace |f(k)+q(k)|²*S_ii(k) portion of the Chihara decomposition for selected materials. Free-free and bound-free portions are computed using using default models. For detailed information about file formats, please contact Prism.
