Sample Problem: Cylindrical Halfraum at OMEGA
Setting Up the Grid: Sample Package
The Sample Package represents an experimental package placed at the end of
the halfraum which is exposed to its radiation field.
Here, we place a package in the form of a disk just outside the bottom of the
halfraum.
- Select Target | Add Object.
- Select "Disk" for the target component type.
- Set the object name to "Sample_package".
- In the Position tab of the Object Parameters Dialog:
- For the Reference Coordinate System, select "Halfraum".
- Set the object position: r = (0, 0, -0.06); this is at the z-position
of the bottom disk of the halfraum.
- Use the default orientation angles (all angles zero).
- In the Size/Gridding tab of the Object Parameters Dialog:
- Set the outer radius to 0.04 cm.
- Set the inner radius to 0.0 cm.
- Set surface normals up (toward the center of the halfraum).
- Use 7 grid points along the radial direction.
- Set the number of azimuthal grid points to 18 (20 degrees per node).
- Select "OK".
Since it could be somewhat difficult to see much contrast between the bottom
of the halfraum and the package, we give the package a different color. Press
the "Color" button to set the color.
