Time-Dependent Zone Positions

The flow of mass in a HELIOS simulation can be observed by displaying the zone positions vs. time. Because HELIOS is a Lagrangian hydrodynamics code, the movement of the zone boundaries shows how mass moves with time.

In the Zone increment box, enter a number between 1 and the total number of zones. The plot will display zone boundary positions for Zone 1 and all zones that are a multiple of the zone increment.

When checking the Color by Spatial Region box, all zones within a given spatial region will have the same line color. An example is shown below.
