Setting Up EOS/Opacity Libraries

It is generally convenient to locate all SESAME data files in a single folder (or directory), and all the PROPACEOS files is a single folder. We refer to these as data libraries.

The library can be located in any folder (i.e., directory) the user has access to. During installation of HELIOS, files are placed in a directory structure similar to that shown below. In a folder parallel to the HELIOS folder, a DataTables folder is supplied to hold files for EOS and opacity data for SESAME and PROPACEOS.

During installation of HELIOS, PROPACEOS data will be placed in the PROPACEOS folder. However, SESAME data must be obtained directly from Los Alamos National Laboratory. Contact Prism Computational Sciences for instructions on how to obtain SESAME data files formatted for use by HELIOS.
