Setting Surface Shading

Surface elements are represented as polygons. The color of each polygon can be used to indicate one of its properties (e.g., temperature). Polygons can be displayed as either flat or shaded.

When flat is selected, the entire polygon has the same color.

When shaded is selected, the color across the polygon is interpolated, based on the quantity values at the nodes of the polygon.
