Sample Problem: Hohlraum at OMEGA with Glint

Overview

For this problem, a cylindrical hohlraum with a package at one end of the cylinder is heated by 15 laser beams. Three beams are used for backlighting purposes. This problem (see sample workspace: examples/omega_halfraum_P7_wGlint.vrw) is qualitatively similar to the previous OMEGA halfraum sample. The primary purpose here is to demonstrate how to set up parameters for the new (to VISRAD 3.0.0) glint and beam profile models.

The target components and laser beam components are set up in a manner similar to the previous OMEGA example. The main differences are to:

• Set up the laser reflectivities
• Set the laser reflection and beam intensity profile parameters
• View laser beams
• View the results
