SpectraPLOT: Viewing Rate Coefficient Data

Available only for non-LTE calculations.

To view rate coefficient data for an atomic level in a specified volume element, show a plot of the spatial distribution of that atomic level. Then select the Show Rate Coefficients toolbutton (), and pick on the volume element. A table is displayed showing the rates populating and depopulating that atomic level.

The first time the rate coefficient data is displayed for a calculation, it may take a considerable time to retrieve and set up the data. Subsequent retrievals will typically be much faster.

The following data are shown in the table:

Depopulating rates are shown in red and are negative.

The table is split, with the splitter initially on the far right. Dragging the splitter with the mouse will reveal the split table.

Clicking on the header of any column will order the column in either ascending or descending order. In the case of the first column, the levels are initially shown in the order in which they occur in the atomic model file, and this is used as the column's ascending order.
