Displaying Source Powers

Source powers include contributions from:

• Self-emission by target components (set in the Material Properties tab of the Object Parameters Dialog)
• Laser beams, including contributions from both direct and reflected laser light.

The spatial distribution of source power (in TW/cm²) is displayed by selecting Display | Power Source.

When no self-emission by target components is included, the power source term (used in the radiation power balance equation) is equal to the incident laser power, corrected for the x-ray conversion efficiency [S = S_Las (1-η_x)].

Note that incident laser power calculations can be used to verify that the laser beams hit only those target components intended to be hit.
