Workspace Files

Workspace files contain parameters for a single project. The user saves project data to the workspace file by selecting File | Save or File | Save As. A previously-stored workspace file is opened by selecting File | Open or by choosing from a list of recently used workspaces in File | Recent Workspaces.

Workspace files have a ".spw" extension.

The workspace file can also be used as an input argument when starting SPECT3D. Windows platforms can be configured to start a SPECT3D application when double-clicking on a file with a ".spw" extension.

Contents of the file include parameters for each of the following setup widgets:

• Simulation Type
• Geometry
• Plasma Properties
• Materials
• Atomic Data
• Kinetics Model
• External Radiation Source
• Backlighter
• Detector
• Spectral Grid
• Simulation Times

Each project can have one, and only one, workspace file.

No simulation output is stored in the workspace file.
