Overview of Simulation Setup

Setup of HELIOS simulations is performed by cycling through "widgets" that contain parameters for:

• Geometry
• Spatial Grid
• Hydrodynamics
• Atomic Processes
• Radiation Transport
• Laser Source
• Particle Beam
• Radiation Source
• Magnetic
• Time Controls
• Output

Each widget can be accessed directly by pressing the corresponding button on the left side of the main window, or by cycling through the widgets using the Back and Next buttons at the bottom of the main window.

An example widget for the Spatial Grid parameters is shown below.
